Object Permanence extends an intermittent investigation into the physical permanence of objects and aesthetic elements by introducing visceral organic matter into the architectural and logistical framework of a boutique. The installation translates the graphic language of Lab.yrinth and the PROF into a sensory spatial sequence, structured around the wandering gaze and exploratory movement associated with a client’s visit. Organic components are positioned in relation to the architecture as evolving geometries that initially grow, subsequently dry, and ultimately become fossilised.
Through this process, the boutique is reconceived as a liminar environment of material transition rather than a neutral setting for display. As the work examines how objects acquire permanence through spatial context, perception, and transformation, while establishing a direct dialogue between installation, architecture, and atmosphere.
